1. A civil war is when two groups within the same country have a conflict that leads to death. Julius Caesar was a military leader who joined forces with a wealthy Roman. A triumvirate is a group of three leaders, and one of the most famous is Julius Caesar, Crassus, and Pompey. Augustus was the name of Octavian which meant "exalted one". Pax Romana was a period between 27 BC to 180 AD, in which there was peace throughout the Roman Empire.
3. Tiberius and Gaius's deaths led to a civil war between the rich and the poor.
4. The Romans where successful in controlling a large empire because of their strong army and powerful leaders.
5. Gladiator fights distracted and controlled the public.
